Teacher
After spending many years teaching in surrounding communities, Mrs. Ally returned to the town in which she grew up and currently lives, to teach preschool at Jack and Jill. Although she started teaching here in 2023, Mrs. Ally has been a part of the Jack and Jill community since 2017 when her oldest daughter joined the Terrific 3s class. During the following years, she stayed active at the school by being a parent, volunteer, board member, and substitute teacher.
By teaching at Jack and Jill Community Preschool, Mrs. Ally is returning to her roots. She began her career teaching 2 and 3-year-old children at Westminster Early Childhood Programs. For the next decade she primarily taught ELA to students across the elementary and middle school levels. She obtained her New York State Professional Certifications in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Education, and English Language Arts and has her M.S. in Education.
Mrs. Ally believes that connecting with her students and finding the special qualities in each child are essential to teaching preschool. She helps students learn to love school by providing play-based learning in a warm, welcoming environment. By keeping students engaged in active learning experiences, making preliteracy skills a priority, and encouraging students’ creativity, she ensures that her students are ready for kindergarten and beyond.
Teacher Assistant
Hello! My name is Mrs. Chris, and I am delighted to serve as the Teacher Assistant at Jack and Jill. My husband Rick and I have been raising our family on Grand Island, and we absolutely love being a part of this vibrant community. We have three wonderful daughters who keep us busy with their various activities, and I cherish every moment spent with them.
Before joining the team at Jack and Jill, I dedicated many years to working with young children and volunteering in our community, which has given me a wealth of experience and insight into fostering a positive learning environment.
I am excited to support our students in their journeys and help them thrive. Together, we can create a nurturing atmosphere where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore their potential. Here’s to a fantastic year of learning and growth!
